Welcome to FBI Charlotte Citizens Academy Alumni Association
Who Are We
The FBI Charlotte Chapter Citizens Academy Alumni Association was established in 2006. It is a non-profit organization separate and apart from the FBI. It is a community-based and supported organization.
It was designed to promote a safer community through community service projects, with particular emphasis on providing safety initiatives and resources to the public, educating local communities about federal law enforcement issues and challenges, and supporting FBI-sponsored information programs.
We typically meet at least every other month in Charlotte or Raleigh.
About Us
Our Goals
The FBI Charlotte Chapter Citizens Academy Alumni Association’s primary goals include:
- Increasing awareness of child human trafficking, the opioid epidemic, bullying, teen dating violence and senior abuse. North Carolina ranks among the top eight in the nation for human trafficking and opioid abuse. To combat these problems, we are partnering with the FBI Charlotte Field House on various presentations and events throughout state to raise awareness and make a difference in communities.
- Promoting the importance of the FBI Citizens Academy and Charlotte Chapter CAAA as community ambassadors by educating local communities in North Carolina about federal law enforcement issues and challenges.
- Provide the North Carolina FBI Field Offices with volunteers and support in community outreach programs.
Strategic Focus
These areas of strategic focus will help guide our work:
Community Connections - Deepening and strengthening connections with the FBI, law enforcement and communities across North Carolina.
Member Engagement - Cultivating greater member participation and volunteerism to achieve our education, outreach, and community service goals.
Organizational Development - Building the infrastructure, systems, resources and capacity to support continued growth and development of our Chapter.
